Other Business Incentives / Support

Revolving Loan Funds (RLF) – administered by the Batavia Development Corporation, start-up or existing businesses that create or retain jobs are eligible for up to $30,000 in low interest loans. A Micro-Enterprise grant program may also be considered for projects meeting certain additional requirements. In 2012, six (6) new businesses were launched with the support of the City’s RLF.

Real Property Tax Exemptions – coordinated by the City Assessor’s Office, multiple tax incentives exists to encourage new capital investment in residential, commercial and industrial properties throughout the City.

Liaison - Batavia Development Corporation will work with you to seek available space, financing, support services and to navigate City Hall with permitting, zoning and other related matters.

Batavia Business Improvement District (BBID) – the BBID was established more than a decade ago to focus on special events and business development that will stimulate business activity along the historic Main Street And downtown Ellicott Street corridors.

Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) - The Batavia Development Corporation works closely with the aggressive GCEDC which strategically developed the Agri-Business Park and landed more than $300,000,000 of new manufacturing investment and 200+ new jobs to the area.
