The Batavia Concert Band has performed free concerts every summer in Batavia’s Centennial Park (and other venues) since the 1920’s, and is one of the region’s oldest continuously-performing concert bands.

The Band is typically made up of 35-50 brass, woodwind and percussion musicians, from talented high school players to seasoned veterans, some of whom have been with the Band for decades. All love to play. The repertoire ranges from patriotic marches to classic wind ensemble works, Broadway and movie classics to swing and big-band favorites, and everything in between.

On Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm from late June through the beginning of August, the Batavia Concert Band performs at Centennial Park in the City of Batavia.  Rain venue is Genesee Community College theater – notices are posted in the park, on the Batavia Daily News website, TheBatavian.com, and WBTA 1490 radio. The Band also performs at other venues such as the popular annual July 4th  Picnic in the Park! Sponsored by GO ART!

The Batavia Concert Band gets its support from concert sponsorships, the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council (GO ART!), patron donations, raffle ticket and refreshment sales, and logistic help from the City of Batavia. All concerts are free to the public of all ages.

Bring your family, a group of friends, a chair or blanket, and enjoy the Batavia Concert Band. Light refreshments area available.
