Community Based Neighborhood Policing

The City of Batavia Police Department would like to make all City residents aware of the Community Policing efforts undertaken by each officer of the Police Department.

As part of our ongoing initiative to have a more community based approach to our services we are implementing several different ways to patrol your neighborhood.  Throughout your neighborhood you may see officers walking through the streets, sidewalks and riding bicycles.  The officers are not only looking for violations of local and state laws, but are there for you or your neighbors to approach with questions.  These questions can be law enforcement or non law enforcement related.  Also you can inform the officers if there are any problems you have observed in your neighborhood.

Our goal is to provide a professional police presence to your neighborhood where issues can be resolved in an efficient and timely manner.

Officers of the Batavia Police Department can be reached by the following means:

In the case of non-emergency related issues you can contact the officer assigned to your neighborhood through the Dispatch Center at (585) 345-6350
