City of Batavia Parks

City parks are open from 7 A.M. till dusk each day.

Pavilion rentals can be made for dates May 15th thru September 30th each year after January 1st at the City Clerk’s office located at City Hall, One Batavia City Centre, Batavia NY 14020 – (585) 345-6305.

There are nine parks through out the City.  A description of each park is listed below. Austin Park

Austin Park – 15 Jefferson Avenue
Austin Park is 6.7 acres located in the center of the City.  Used for many cultural events because of its central location and wealth of available parking.  This park has the community spray park that operates from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Amenities include a pavilion with a 15 amp electric service, picnic tables and charcoal grill is available for renting.  Other amenities include a large playground, a backstop for softball practice, a large open field area and bathrooms.

 

Centennial Park – 151 State StreetCentennial Park
Centennial Park is a 14-acre natural setting located in the north-central part of the City.  This is a favorite location of number of summertime events.  Events held at this location include weekly summer concerts and Go-Arts July 4th Picnic in the Park.  This park is also a local favorite for snow sledding in the winter.

Farrall Park – 101-111 Otis Street
Located on the Southside, Farrall Park offers a neighborhood park with two tennis courts, basketball half court, playground, bathrooms and a pavilion with a 15 amp electric service, picnic tables and charcoal grill is available for renting.  Farrall Park also has a large field suitable for a variety of uses. The Youth Bureau runs a Summer Recreation program at this location too.

Kibbe Park – 105-111 Kibbe Avenue
This creek side park provides 11 acres of recreational use.  This has a quite setting with a number of amenities.  Kibbe Park has a full sized Softball field, Full size basketball courts, three tennis courts, playground, bathrooms and a secluded pavilion with a 15 amp electric service, picnic tables and charcoal grill is available for renting.

Lambert Park – 100 Verona AvenueLambert Park

This quite neighborhood park is nestled in the north end of the City.  A pavilion with a 15 amp electric service, picnic tables and charcoal grill is available for renting.  This is our most popular park for pavilion rental.  Other amenities include a horseshoe pit, playground and bathrooms.  The Youth Bureau runs a Summer Recreation program at this location too.

Lions Park – 108 Cedar Street & 8 Wallace Street

Lion’s Park is the home of Tonawanda Valley Girls Softball and Batavia Bull Dawg’s youth football.  This is a 9.3-acre park that is located on the Eastside of the City.  The park amenities include a pavilion with a 15 amp electric service, picnic tables and charcoal grill is available for renting.  There are also horseshoe pits and bathrooms.

MacArthur Park - 252B State Street
Located adjacent to Dwyer Stadium, home of the Batavia Muckdogs Minor League Baseball is a 21-acre park that serves as the home to the Batavia Youth Bureau, T- Ball, Minor/Major League Youth Baseball, Batavia Little League and Challenger Baseball.  Besides baseball this park also has five tennis courts and a playground.

Pringle Park - 14 Pringle Avenue
This is a small neighborhood park that is located on the Southside.  The park has a playground and a half court for basketball.

Williams Park – 101 Pearl Street
Williams Park is the City’s largest park at 25-acres.  It is located on the City’s Westside and is home to Batavia Little League’s Senior and Junior League youth baseball.  The park also has a full sized softball field, two tennis courts, two basketball courts a deck hockey court and a trail for walking.  The park has bathrooms and a pavilion with a 15 amp electric service, picnic tables and charcoal grill is available for renting. The Youth Bureau runs a Summer Recreation program at this location too.
