Bureau of Assessment

The Bureau of City Assessment is located within the Department of Administrative Services. This bureau is responsible for the administration and valuation of real property assessments, administration of property tax exemptions and maintenance of a City-wide property information data base which includes ownership, land and physical building data.

  • Records property ownership and appraises all real property for assessment purposes. Collects and records physical building information. Administers property tax exemption programs.

  • Prepares and files quarterly and annual assessment reports as prescribed by the State.
