Community New Years Eve Celebration!

The city of Batavia is turning 100 years old and we want to celebrate as a community on New Years Eve!  Come down for amazing musical entertainment from Broadway, free open skate at Faletti Arena, community bon fire, delicious eats from Michelle’s Catering (the gals with the pink trucks!) and Batavia’s Original.  Kids carnival, warm and cold weather fun for the whole family.  There will also be an awesome FIREWORKS display to culminate the night’s celebration! 

Schedule of Events for December 31, 2014:

Centennial Plaza (a temporary outdoor festival area located at Evans Street at the Saint Mary's Parking lot south to Falleti Ice Arena).  This area will be closed to traffic, but open to pedestrians, carnival games and more.

Opening Ceremony:  6pm at Centennial Plaza

Free Family Skating: 6 - 9 pm at Falleti Ice Arena

Carnival Activities:  6-9 pm outside and inside at St. Mary's Church basement

Large Stage set up north of the firehouse featuring the following acts throughout the evening: 

Local band favorite, Something Else, led by Bergen native Johnny Cummings

Other local entertainers will perform music from The Wiz, Cats, Wicked, Jersey Boys and Mamma Mia to the The Winner Takes All.

Fireworks display at 10pm.

A variety of foods and wintry drinks will be available for purchase along with bounce houses and a large bonfire for warmth. 

In addition, City Hall will be transformed into a Century Club to host a party where guests are encouraged to 'Dress the Decades" and celebrate the City turning 100.  Jazz music will be provided by the John Canale Trio with Dibble Family Catering, Carlson's photo studio and lively DJ to incite the dancing.  The select event is open to all but limited to 200 tickets selling at $50 per person, first come, first serve.  A handful of tickets are still available - hurry to the City Manager's Office before noon on Wednesday (or while tickets last) to purchase yours!
