Bureau of Finance

The City Manager serves as both the Director of Finance and the Chief Fiscal Officer of the City as stated in the City of Batavia Charter.  The Deputy Director of Finance and the Financial Clerk administer the daily operational activities in the Bureau of Finance.  Those daily operational activities include payroll processing; accounts payable; water and sewer billing; financial accounting, reporting and maintenance of financial account records; monitoring compliance with state and federal regulations as they apply to purchasing; budget preparation and the annual financial audit.
