Batavia SafeCam Program

Batavia SafeCam Program is Batavia's newest crime investigation and prevention tool.

It allows you, the Citizens of Batavia, to join the fight against crime and register your cameras with the Batavia Police Department to aid in crime prevention strategies and investigations which may occur in your neighborhood. It does not involve giving the police the ability to freely or remotely access your cameras, claim ownership, or dictate the camera system’s function. This is simply a database that will allow a police department to see who might have captured footage related to a crime.

Registration

Registration is simple and only takes a few minutes of time. Please fill out the form below, providing basic contact information and where the cameras are located. There is no cost for registration and your personal information is confidential.

If you would like to cancel your registration, fill out the mandatory fields in the form below and select "Cancel Registration."

Verification

Once you complete the registration process, a member from the Batavia Police Department may contact you by telephone to request a visit to your residence/business to verify the information you have provided.

Call to Duty

The Batavia Police Department will only contact you if there is a criminal incident in the vicinity of your SafeCam registered security cameras. Police personnel may request to view and copy video images captured by your camera to assist in the investigation of a crime.
